Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Rechargeable Men's Wet/Dry Shaver

I have extremely sensitive skin and dreaded shaving. No matter what razor, gel, cream or wash I sued my face would always get red from razor burn after I finished shaving. Although this Panasonic ES8243A Men's 4-Blade electric shaver did not completely eliminate my problem it did reduce the irritation considerably. Also provides a pretty close shave. I have thicker than normal hair.

I don't think it is the thickest, but every hair stylist I go to comments on how thick my hair is. Other electric shavers would never get close enough to give me that truly "clean shaven" look. This Panasonic ES8243A Men's 4-Blade shaver is the closest thing I've found to a straight razor or a manual razor like the Mach 3. It really is a good shave.

Shaving would take forever since I had to do my first pass with the hair trimmer to lift off / cut longer hair, and then shave with the foil which was a bit irritating (no pivoting head or anything). If I didn't I would end up with patches of unshaved hair and with LOTS of ingrown hair all over my face.

The foil is thin and the blades sharp. Holds a charge good for about a week or more if I only shave my face, maybe 4 days if I also shaved my scalp every day. Trimmer is sufficient for what it does, but it vibrates so fast it tickles when I use it to trim nose hairs (eYwww!).

I am submitting this review after a year and a half of owning the shaver. Anyway, great product. Think of a redesigned Braun that maintained old foil quality + performance, added multiple blades, faster motor and you can wet shave as well!

This Panasonic ES8243A Men's 4-Blade Wet/Dry Rechargeable Electric Shaver works extremely well, especially when shaving wet with some shave cream or gel. It just glides effortlessly and leaves you with a very smooth shave I had never experienced from an electric shaver before.
