I've had several of the Norelco razors over the years. Always pleased with how well they work.
I tried a Panasonic foil electric and like the Norelco better. I shave my head and find the three individual rotary cutters conform to the curve of my head better than the flat foil shavers. I must say that this Philips Norelco AT830 Powertouch Electric Razor gives a nice close shave.

I honestly hate shaving, putting on the shaving cream, cleaning the razor, and washing off the shaving cream afterwards and such. This Norelco AT830 razor is amazing for the simple reason that I can be watching something on the laptop and just be shaving without even putting on shaving cream. It was the first time for me using an electric shaver, but wow the time it saves and how good of a shave it does.

It takes one hour to fully charge the shaver, which Philips Norelco says will provide you with 50 minutes of shaving time. I ran four battery drain tests, where I fully charged the shaver and then ran it down completely. The average battery life was 80 minutes.

If the battery is dead, you can also do a quick charge, by charging it for three minutes, which will give you enough power for a five minute shave. This is the first electric shaver I have owned that compares to a razor! When I use it with shaving cream it feels as close as a blade, but much more comfortable. Quiet, smooth, easy to clean, and fits nice in the hand. Buy it, you"ll love it.

I use a clear gel by Alba which makes seeing my face during shaves easier. The wet shave was extremely comfortable and even closer than that attained with the dry method. One just has to keep the heads wet while shaving to maintain comfort. Cleaning the razor afterwards under running water couldn't be easier.

This razor, the Philips Norelco AT830 PowerTouch Rechargeable Cordless Razor, charged up nicely, then I put it to the test. I shaved half my face with my SensoTouch, and the other half with this new razor. I judge the closeness of the shave to be fairly equal, and since they both have three shaving heads, the coverage seemed similar. All in all, another nice electric razor from Philips Norelco.
